The primary purpose of the Assistant Director of Nursing is to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and/or the Director of Nursing, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Requirements for the Assistant Director of Nursing - ADON:
Registered Professional Nurse with a current Illinois License; BSN preferred, but not required 1-3 years clinical experience preferred, but not required Demonstrated knowledge of modern nursing techniques, routines and methods as applied in health care institutions, and of new developments in the field of nursing; Knowledge of the appropriate rules, regulations, policies and procedures; Ability to research and apply evidence-based practices to current care practices Demonstrated knowledge of leadership, supervisory and personnel principles and practices; Skill in planning assigning and supervising assigned personnel; Skill in supervising the proper care and custody of residents and seeing that the orders of the physician are efficiently and effectively carried out; Skill in encouraging a proper professional attitude among the members of the nursing staff; Skill in preparing and supervising the preparation of accurate and detailed clinical, medical and other records and reports; Ability to read, writes, understand and communicate in acceptable business English; Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions and to accept constructive criticism; Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel The Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing offers an excellent benefits package including, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and life insurance, as well as paid time off.
